December 18, 2025

Holidays bring celebration, family, friends and incredible dishes to share. Revelette Bourbon wants to help make each moment a little sweeter, starting with our Revelette Bourbon Bread Pudding. This recipe yields a moist and rich pudding with a crusted top, drowned in a flavorful vanilla bourbon sauce.

What You Will Need (Utensils):

  • 9x13 inch Baking Dish
  • Large Mixing Bowl
  • Whisk or Hand Mixer
  • Small Saucepan (for the sauce)
  • Measuring Cups and Spoons

Ingredients for Pudding:

  • 1 Large Loaf of French Bread, Brioche, or Challah (cut into 1 inch cubes)
  • 4 Large Eggs
  • 2 Egg Yolks
  • 2 Cups Heavy Cream
  • 1 Cup Whole Milk
  • ¾ Cup Sugar
  • ¼ Cup of Revelette Black Label Bourbon
  • 2 Teaspoons Vanilla Extract
  • 1 Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • ½ Teaspoon Ground Nutmeg
  • Butter For Greasing Pan

Ingredients For Vanilla-Bourbon Sauce:

The Pudding:

  1. To prepare the bread, grease with butter your 9x13 inch baking dish. Place the cubed bread evenly into the prepared dish.
  2. To make the custard, begin with your large bowl and whisk together eggs, egg yolks, heavy cream, milk, sugar, Revelette Bourbon, vanilla extract, cinnamon and nutmeg until combined and slightly frothy.
  3. Now it is time to pour the custard over the prepared bread cubes in your dish, make sure it is evenly distributed and the bread is completely submerged in the custard. Press down lightly. Let the dish sit at room temperature for 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours, allowing the bread to absorb the custard.
  4. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and place the bread pudding in the oven for 45 minutes to an hour, ensuring that the top is golden brown! To make sure your dish is perfect, insert a knife gently into the center and make sure when pulling the knife out, it comes out clean! The center should be soft and moist.
  5. Let the pudding cool on a wire rack while you prepare the vanilla-bourbon sauce.

The Sauce:

  1. Begin by taking your saucepan and placing butter in the pan bringing the pan to a medium heat to melt your butter.
  2. Now add your sugar and whisk in the pan until the sugar is fully dissolved and the texture is smooth.
  3. Stir in your heavy cream and pinch of salt, bringing the heat to a low simmer for about 3-5 minutes, stirring constantly.
  4. Remove your saucepan from the heat and stir in your Revelette Bourbon and vanilla extract. Whisk until mixture is completely smooth.
  5. Serve your bread pudding immediately, drizzled generously with the warm Vanilla-Revelette Bourbon sauce.
